You had a bad day. To cheer you up, your friend brings over some homemade chicken noodle soup and leaves it on your front porch. You get distracted doing some yard work and accidentally leave the soup outside overnight. The next day your friend calls to ask if you liked the soup.

What do you do?

Lie and say the soup was great. What she doesn't know won't hurt her.
Admit you accidentally left the soup outside. Apologize that you had to throw it out.
