Shopping

In this lesson, Mr. Baxter chooses and purchases tickets for a theater production. Then the couple gets help finding their seats. Students review vocabulary related to theaters and practice the dialogues.

At the Theater

In this lesson, the Baxters head home after their trip to New York. Students listen to an airline announcement and review vocabulary used on airplanes.

On the Plane

This assessment covers the content of episodes 7–13 of Travel English. It includes vocabulary and comprehension tasks.



Final Assessment

The Baxters are heading from Calgary to New York and you can take your students along for the journey. This ongoing travel story will help your students learn English vocabulary and expressions to use when booking a flight, checking into a hotel, sightseeing, etc. Note that in Canada the word "holiday" can be used in the same ways as "vacation."
