In this lesson, you’ll find three stories all about goal setting. Each grammar story uses the simple future (with “be going to”) in context. Students answer comprehension questions and write two paragraphs of their own using the simple future.

Goal-Setting

In this lesson, students learn how to write a basic stand-alone paragraph. They learn about hooks, topic sentences, supporting sentences, transition words, and concluding sentences. Students write a paragraph about their "word of the year." This is an ideal lesson to use at the beginning of a new year, term, or season.
