Introduce your new learners to the concept of telling time in English.

Telling Time

Introduce new learners to basic money concepts including symbols, coins, and bills. Students learn how to identify, say, and write basic amounts. Includes easy-to-follow assessment tasks and tools. We recommend bringing in real money to go with this lesson.

This assessment includes six review tasks to check understanding of targets from the first half of this course: housing, prepositions, numbers, time, and money.

Mid-Course Assessment

Introduce literacy students to words and numbers for saying and writing the date in English. The lesson reviews calendar months and ordinal numbers. Includes optional assessment tasks and tools.

The Date

This assessment includes six review tasks to check understanding of targets from the second half of this course: the date, days of the week, the city, weather, and seasons.

Final Assessment

Numbers, time & prepositions... In this 4-skills course, students learn and/or review the English numbers 1–100. They also learn introductory English vocabulary related to a variety of themes, including housing, time, city, and weather. This course introduces prepositions. You can also use these lessons to teach students how to ask and answer very basic questions. Content is suitable for all ages.
