In this lesson, students read about George Floyd, a Black man who was killed by police during an arrest in Minneapolis on Memorial Day (2020). Students learn and review new vocabulary and discuss opinions about protests, racial discrimination, and police reform. They also do a small group research task. This lesson is free for non-members.
