This is a blank Venn diagram for you to print and use in class. Venn diagrams are useful for comparing and contrasting two topics or ideas. Your students can use them in the planning stage before writing a compare/contrast essay or before having a debate.

On the top line, your students can write the title of their diagram. On the left line underneath, they can write the first item for comparison. On the right line, they can write the second item for comparison. Inside the circles, your students can write words or phrases (or draw pictures) that go with each item. In the middle where the circles intersect, your students can add things that pertain to both items. Your students can also add more circles to the template.
