A picture is worth a thousand words. Look at this photo from The Associated Press of two American gymnasts bowing down to a Brazilian gymnast on a historic all-Black podium at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Use the photo in class with your students to brainstorm vocabulary and discuss sportsmanship. Encourage your class to do a little research to learn more about these gymnasts. You can also assign a speaking task based on the photo prompt. You may want to teach some of the suggested vocabulary below.
